Academics

Trinity Lutheran School prides itself on academic excellence.  We meet a child’s academic needs by:

• a coordinated, sequential PK3-5th Grade program
• a challenging curriculum in language arts, math, science, and social studies
• a computer curriculum for all students in a lab environment, where basic programs and keyboarding skills are mastered
• a media center where research skills are taught and a digital catalogue utilized
• cross-curricular integration and on-line computer access in every classroom
• guidance in study and test-taking skills
• hands-on experiences through classroom labs, multi-sensory activites, and field trips
• German instruction beginning in PK-3
• individualized attention through limited class size, PK3 thorugh 1st Grade classes with full-time teacher’s aides, and remedial as well as accelerated accomodations
• a curriculum that meets or exceeds Virginia state guidelines
