New Youth Group!

That’s right, there’s a new youth group starting at Trinity. 4th and 5th grade age children will now have the chance to experience Jesus and what it means that He died for us and we’re Christians.

There will be Bible time, snacks and games.

We’ll meet in the school library on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month at 3:00pm when Trinity Lutheran School is open.

Questions? Call the church office or e-mail Pastor David Smith at dwsmith78@hotmail.com.

DEC 26 Service and Activities CANCELED

Due to inclement weather and an abundance of caution, all events and activities at Trinity today have been canceled, including worship service.

We will still accept coat donations through New Year’s services, Dec. 31 (7 p.m.) and Jan. 2 (8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.).

God be with you and your families as we continue to celebrate the Christmas season!

Christmas Eve Caroling at Town Point Park

Start a new Christmas tradition this year!

Join our brothers and sisters from Crossway to sing Christmas Carols in Town Point Park on Christmas Eve.

Park under the overpass and meet by the Christmas Tree at 4:30pm on December 24.  (This gives you plenty of time to make it to Trinity’s 7:30 or 10:00pm service)

For more info check out Crossway’s website.

Coats for Christmas (and Christmas Eve and the First Sunday after Christmas)

Bring your new or gently used coats and blankets to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services, but don’t bring them home.

Why?

The boiler is being replaced, which means we likely will not have heat for Christmas services this year, except for a few space heaters.

The low on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be 29, Sunday the low is going to 23. That’s cold.

So what do we do?

Bring your new or gently used coat or blanket to stay warm. After each service we will collect them and distribute them to those in need.

Coats and blankets will be collected at the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Sunday December 26 services.

Pastor David Smith installed tomorrow

Rev. David W. Smith will be installed as Trinity’s seventh pastor in our 90 year history Sunday, Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m.

We invite everyone to join us in this important event in the life of Pastor Smith and the church.

Dinner will be provided following the service.

Family Chrismon Event on Trinity’s Lawn – Friday, Dec. 3

Come join in the family fun at Trinity’s Chrismon Event on Friday, Dec. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Hang your Chrismon on the tree, cook hotdogs and marshmallows over the bonfires, go for a hayride and enjoy the snowball fight and Ice hockey played with newspaper sticks! Children and their parents will also be invited into the church to hang traditional Chrismons on the chancel trees.

It’s all free and fun for the whole family! Please join us!

Chrismons are a Christian ornament for the Christmas tree. This year we’ll be featuring crosses and hearts to signify the real meaning of Christmas – that through God’s Love, Jesus died for our sins. The Chrismons are given out at Day School and Sunday School or you can get one from Sharon Plawin or Judy Sykes. Please join us for this joyful Christmas event.

Note: Volunteers are also needed Monday, Nov. 29 beginning at 3:30 p.m. to put up the Chrismon tree outside (starting early because of daylight); also, we’ll need volunteers around 4:30 p.m. to put up the Chancel trees inside. Please email Jim Hoeft if you can help. Baby-sitting provided.
